Body Mechanics Moves to 113th
After a long road of pandemic grief, growth and adjustment, Body Mechanics founder Tabitha Silver has decided to move Body Mechanics Acupuncture slightly south to 411 W 113th St. In the beginning of June (Estimated: Friday, June 3rd) we will be moving out of our much beloved 1270 Amsterdam Ave office into a larger and brighter space on 113th st between Amsterdam Ave. and Morningside Dr. next door to Mt. Sinai Hospitals Morningside location.

The lamp is lit: I went to meditate in my new 113th St clinic space today. Workers have just finished smoothing out the concrete about to lay carpet next week and our industrial heat and air conditioning units humming, waiting to be enclosed in their mechanical rooms sit bare and alien but despite the to-do list the space has a transformative peace and healing charge that I first felt when I walked into the empty space and decided to transform it into my next acupuncture clinic. I open this new Morningside clinic in honor of my late mother Irene Marcuse Silver who shared with me her love of bodywork, and healing retreats like Esalen and had the most flowing massage strokes. Her memory is a blessing to me and I hope this clinic can grow to be a blessing to the community she loved fiercely.
